Linking between Individual and Business Licensing Portals

Overview

When Regulating Agencies have both an Individual Licensing Portal and a Business Licensing Portal, there are times when a Portal User may need to switch between the two portals to view or manage information, licenses, etc. Because these portals are separate, when a Portal User accesses the other portal, they must provide their login credentials even if they are already logged in to the other portal.

This article covers the process to provide a link in both the Individual Licensing Portal and Business Licensing Portal that would enable a portal user to quickly access the other portal and would not require them to provide additional login credentials.

Accessing String Resources

Note: String Resources control the text and links that appear on Thentia Portals. 

• Open the Module Selector and access the Config Module.
  
• Open the Menu and select the String Resources option.
  

Licensee Portal Update

From the String Resources Area

• Search for "SERVICE_DASHBOARD_LICENSES_FOOTER"
  Double-click to open the record. 
  Note: You may have more than one string resource returned if you have multiple portals in different languages. You'll need to follow this process to make the update for each of your portals.
  
• Context: This is where the SERVICE_DASHBOARD_LICENSES_FOOTER text is presented on the Licensee Portal. 
  
• With the SERVICE_DASHBOARD_LICENSES_FOOTER string resources open, update the text in the Value Field.
  
• Example Text: These are all your licenses. You can manage your business licenses from the Business Portal. 
• The next step is to obtain the URL of the Welcome page of the Business Licensing Portal.
  Example: https://trainingmaster.portalus.thentiacloud.net/webs/portal/business/#/select-business 
  Note: When copying the URL, ensure you have the entire URL, including https://
  
• Then, highlight the text you'd like to be the hyperlink to the Business Licensing Portal. Once you have the text highlighted, click the link button in the text editor formatting header.
  
• Enter the URL in the Web Address field.
  Then click the Insert button
  
• Save
  

Apply Licensee Portal Update

This step will make the updates you've made visible on your Individual Licensing Portal.

• Access the Config Module or use the already open Portal Configuration breadcrumb.
• Click the Flush Data button.

• You'll then see the action notification banners appearing in the upper right. 
  

   

Business Licensing Portal

From the String Resources Area

• Search for "BUSINESS_LICENSES_LICENSE_GENERAL_PARAGRAPH_2"
  Double-click to open the record. 
  Note: You may have more than one string resource returned if you have multiple portals in different languages. You'll need to follow this process to make the update for each of your portals.
  
• Context: This is where the BUSINESS_LICENSES_LICENSE_GENERAL_PARAGRAPH_2 text is presented on the Business Licensing Portal. 
  
• With the BUSINESS_LICENSES_LICENSE_GENERAL_PARAGRAPH_2 string resources open, update the text in the Value Field.
• Example Text: Your license information is listed below. You can manage your individual professional license from the Licensee Portal.
• The next step is to obtain the URL of the Licensee welcome page. 
  Example: https://trainingmaster.portalus.thentiacloud.net/webs/portal/service/#/welcome
