Overview
This article outlines instructions to start and complete a Business License/Registration Renewal application through the Business License/Registration Portal.
Steps to Renew a Business License/Registration
- Log in to the Business Portal specific to the agency you're licensed/registered with, using your email address and password.
- From the left-hand navigation panel, select the Licenses option.
On the Business Licenses screen, a Start Renewal button will display if it is time for you to renew.
Note: Regulators/Agencies, determine when you can begin a renewal application. - Please carefully read the Application Instructions that appear as the first step of an application.
- Complete the renewal steps. The top-right corner of the screen indicates the current step out of the total number of steps in the renewal process.
- Complete each step and Save & Continue/Submit to move forward.
Note: If you exit the renewal, the completed steps are saved. You can return by selecting the Continue button on the License Renewal screen.
Note: The beginning step of the renewal will display. Your saved information will display for each step and you can click Save & Continue to move through the steps you’ve completed. - Continue renewal and provide all necessary documentation and responses to declaration and attestation questions.
- On the Payments step, select the method of payment and select the Process Payment button that appears.
- A confirmation will then be displayed indicating submission or approval.

Checking your Invoices & Receipts
- Select the Home button to the left to return to the main page.
- Select Invoices & Receipts on the Business Renewal page or the lefthand panel.
What to expect after submitting your renewal:
- An Email confirming you have submitted your renewal.
- Upon approval, an updated Expiration Date for your license can be viewed on the Home page or on the Business Renewal page.
- Updated Pocket Card/Certificate with new business license expiration date. (Depending upon the configurations of the Regulating Agency)
