Should I use the Applicant Portal or the Licensee Portal?

Question

Should I use the Applicant Portal or the Licensee Portal? What's the difference?

Answer

Thentia Cloud has two Portals dedicated to individual licensure, which means licenses granted to individual persons (as opposed to entities like businesses or facilities): the Applicant Portal and the Licensee Portal.

The Applicant Portal is designed for individuals looking to apply for a license: use this Portal if you would like to apply for a new license, i.e. a license of a type that you do not already hold (and have not held in the past). You can also sign in to the Applicant Portal if you have already submitted a license application to check on its progress.

The Licensee Portal is designed to serve individuals who hold an existing license: use this Portal if you have previously been approved for an individual license, and would like to take an action related to that license, e.g. renew or reinstate your license, change your license status, apply for sub-licenses (authorizations), change your contact details, etc. Note that, even if you are an existing licensee, you should still use the Applicant Portal (not the Licensee Portal) to apply for a new license that you have not previously held.
