Thentia Cloud release notes: Version 1.38.0 (December 12, 2023)
Updated
Permanently deleted user
New features and enhancements: Portals
All Portals
Added an integration with Autoaddress for address validation on address fields in all Portals.
Related Workbench module: None
Application Portal
The application number is now shown below the application type in the navigation menu of the Application Portal.
Business Licensing Portal
Added a new Bulk Pay section to the Business Licensing Portal, which allows business licensees to bulk-pay all invoices issued in the name of the business with a single payment. Along with the existing Employer Pay section (which allows for bulk payment of business invoices issued in the names of employees), this new feature now enables business licensees to do bulk payments for all invoices related to their business.
Added the ability to upload files in Workbench that Portals users can download within questionnaires on the Document Examination section of the Business Licensing Portal.
Related Workbench module: Register
Added the ability to set description text for each section when configuring a questionnaire record.
Related Workbench module: Workflow
License Verification Portal
Improved the user experience on the Licensee Search page in the License Verification Portal: the search filter radio buttons (Search Individual License, Search Business, and Search Facility) have been moved from below the search box to above the Filter by license type dropdown to more clearly indicate that the values in this dropdown are determined by the radio button selection.
New features and enhancements: Workbench
All modules
We have completely redesigned the tab management experience on Workbench pages to improve the user experience. In addition to having a brand new look, the tab panel no longer grows vertically as more tabs are opened, helping to save valuable screen real estate. Instead, new tabs are now added side-by-side (just like tabs in most internet browsers), and large numbers of tabs can be navigated by scrolling horizontally. Plus, there is now a new tab overview menu, which can be used to view and manage all open tabs in a convenient list format.
Improved the appearance and usability of the Summary View on record pages: by reducing excess whitespace (padding) around individual elements, more information can now be displayed on screen.
To help avoid accidentally selecting the wrong recipient when a new message is created in Workbench, the system will now automatically populate the recipient field with the appropriate profile, based on the parent record of the message.
Added the ability to open the records of entities in the Workbench that do not have a default view set.
Comms module
When configuring document templates for letters and certificate documents/wallet cards, it is now possible to configure the sort order for the lines of data inserted by loop merge fields. For each loop merge field, users can specify which of the loop’s attribute values to sort by, and whether to sort in ascending or descending alphanumerical order.
Other modules affected: Register, Workflow
Updated the Thentia Cloud logo and key icon used on some email templates (e.g. the Portal Password Reset email) to be compatible with dark mode in email clients.
Complaints module
Added the ability to link multiple complaints to a case (or multiple complaints to multiple cases) using a new Case to Complaint Link entity (com_casecomplaintlink). Previously, it was only possible to link cases and complaints one-to-one, or to link multiple cases to a single complaint. Now, with the ability to link more than one complaint record to a single case record, it is possible to “bundle” multiple related complaints, and address them all collectively within a single case.
To support the new functionality that allows multiple complaints to be linked to cases, we’ve also made a change to the complaint-to-case workflow. Now, clicking on the Convert Complaint to Case button will not only create a new case record (as before), but will also automatically create a corresponding record in the new Case to Complaint Link entity (com_casecomplaintlink), linking the new case to the complaint it was created from. This new entity is now also shown under the Connections on complaint records (as Linked Cases) and on case records (as Linked Complaints), making it easy to create links between cases and complaints while viewing either type of record.
When a complaint record is created from the Complaints module in the Workbench, the system will now automatically generate a complaint number for that record, just like records created in the Complaint/Online Complaint Portals.
Config module
Added the ability to only show active (not yet submitted) CE programs in the Continuing Education section of the Licensee Portal. When the setting Hide CE History in the Thentia Cloud Portals (port_site) entity (in the Config module) is turned on, any CE program record that has a value in the Submitted Date attribute will not be shown in the Portal.
Register module
The Pay Invoice button displayed on records in the Invoice entity (pay_invoice) is now controlled by permissions to the Payment entity (pay_payment): if a user does not have Read Access and Write Access permissions to the Payment entity, they will no longer see the Pay Invoice button.
Continuing Education (CE) programs in the Licensee Portal can now be configured with dynamic (rolling) time periods. Previously, CE programs had to be configured with a fixed start and end date for all licensees. With a pair of new configuration fields in the CE Program entity (lrn_professionaldevelopmentperiod), users can now set a dynamic start date for any CE program that is based on license effective date: the Rolling Period Start Month Increment setting specifies the year of the program start date (set as a specified number of months after the license effective date), and the Rolling Period Start Date(MM-DD) setting specifies the exact month and date within that year.
Bug fixes: Portals
All Portals
Fixed an issue where the keyword search function was not working on multi-select fields on custom Portals pages.
Amended the payments API to include the text “This payment amount does not include any applicable service fee” on the Payment Confirmation page, to indicate that the amount actually charged by an external payment processor may be higher than what is displayed on the page.
Application Portal
Removed excess whitespace that was displayed around selected languages in Language multi-select fields.
Business Licensing Portal
Fixed a bug where a Business Licensing Portal user would be involuntarily logged out of the Portal when trying to save a business renewal that contains multiple attestations with an E-Signature pad.
Fixed a bug where selecting a Facility Location from the dropdown while completing a Facility Application would cause an error message to be displayed.
Fixed several related bugs that caused users of the Business Licensing Portal to be directed to the wrong page if a custom first page was used for the Filings and Reinstatements sections.
Education Provider Portal
Fixed a bug where the Previous and Save & Continue buttons would sometimes disappear when completing an application in the Education Provider Portal.
Fixed a bug where notification emails for events relating to the Education Provider Portal were not being sent to all configured recipients.
License Verification Portal
Fixed a bug where the City field on a licensee’s record in the License Verification Portal would not be updated if the licensee’s primary employment attribute was removed from their record in the Workbench.
Fixed a bug where enabling the setting Hide From Public Register for a registration status was not hiding that status from the Filter by license status dropdown menu on the Licensee Search page in the License Verification Portal.
Licensee Portal
Fixed a bug where the value of the Status column on the License Renewal page was not being localized for the selected locale.
Fixed a bug where, if a licensee submitted and then withdrew an application, the Application Type field on the Request to Withdraw Application confirmation page would be shown as empty, instead of showing the type of application being withdrawn.
Bug fixes: Workbench
All modules
Fixed a bug where an ampersand (&) character entered into a field on the Workbench would be displayed as “&” on all Portals.
Fixed a bug where switching to another tab in the Workbench would cause the page position (scroll depth) of the previous tab to reset. Now, when switching from one tab to another and back again, the user will be returned to the same place on the page where they were before switching tabs.
Fixed a bug in text input fields that support Rich Text formatting where underlines would sometimes be removed from text.
Fixed a bug that was preventing files attached to a record from being displayed in the Summary View of that record.
Fixed a bug where the title text for tables would not be displayed in Summary View.
Fixed a bug where documents generated from document templates (i.e. letter or certificate documents/wallet cards) would sometimes have pages missing.
Analytics module
Fixed a bug where a crash would occur when running a query with the Query Editor (SQL), if the query’s last character was part of a commented-out line (i.e. if the last line started with a double hyphen --).
Fixed a bug where the list of entities in the Query Editor (SQL) was unsorted: the list is now sorted alphabetically.
Comms module
Fixed an issue where custom branding on email templates would sometimes not be displayed correctly when viewed in Microsoft Outlook.
Fixed a bug that caused the confirmation email for newly created Portals accounts to incorrectly render the word You in the sentence “You can accomplish this by…” to be rendered as YrecordNameou.
Register module
Fixed a bug where the Workbench was indicating that there were unread messages, even if all messages had already been read.
Fixed a bug where all selections in the User Group dropdown on an application record would be displayed as System User: N/A.
Workflow module
Fixed an issue where the search function on some dropdown fields would sometimes not return results for values matching the entered keywords, even though those values exist in the database. To resolve this, the configuration field Display Argument on entity records (in Workflow) has been renamed to Display and Lookup Search Argument, and the system will now use parameters from this field for matching keywords entered into dropdown searches.
Fixed an issue that prevented multiple Supervisor license types from being linked to a single supervised license type.
Fixed a bug that was causing “-Copy” to be added to the name of newly created questionnaires.
