Frequently Asked Questions

How long are multi-factor authentication access tokens for the Workbench valid?

When logging in to the Thentia Cloud Workbench, a system user must access and use the emailed token to pass the multi-factor authentication step.

The access token that is emailed to the system user when signing in to the Workbench expires after 15 minutes. If you don't enter it to complete the sign-in process during that time, it becomes invalid, and you will need to restart the sign-in process to receive a new access token.

Can regulatory agency staff who have access to the Thentia Cloud Workbench also access the Portals?

Technically, yes, but it is generally not necessary.

To directly answer the question, the account that an agency staff member uses to sign in to the Workbench only works on the Workbench and can not be used to sign into any Portal. However, an agency staff member can sign up for a Portal account just like a member of the public would, and can use that account to access the Portal.

That said, the Portals are intended to be used by members of the public and generally contain no functionality that would be useful for agency staff. All agency staff tasks can be completed using the Workbench, which is designed for this purpose.

How do I log in to the Portal as a regulatory agency staff member?

The Portals are meant for public users. Staff should perform all duties in the Workbench. If needed, you can create a Portal account using a personal or alternate email.

My access token expired. What should I do?

Restart the login process to receive a new token. Tokens expire after 15 minutes.

I didn’t receive my temporary password or token.
